Founded in 2025 by Mackenzie Morgenweck, a recent magna cum laude graduate of Roger Williams University, Thryvewell arose from a deep desire to create practical, compassionate solutions for children and families facing crisis. Mackenzie’s background in Accounting and Management, combined with her leadership experience in student government and nonprofit work, gave her the tools to launch an initiative that truly transforms lives.

Mackenzie’s journey began with a simple yet powerful question: “What if community care could be both beautiful and practical?” This question shaped her vision for Thryvewell and led to the creation of its flagship project, NestKits.

NestKits are specially designed comfort backpacks that provide essential items for children entering foster care or emergency housing.
